Romantic Roses Brooch Pin

There is a new item in the shop! I'm so in love with these rose pins beacuse they are so much fun to wear. I had one for sale like this at the market stand early in the winter and it sold quickly. People kept asking for another one like it and here it is!

R is for romantic roses and kisses on a foggy night. This rose pin was crocheted with a recycled wool base yarn and a soft black and red yarn witht a misty eyelass yarn spun into it. On the back is a securely sewn pinback. This is a larger rose measuring 2 1/2 inches across. Rose pins are great to decorate purses, jackets, shawls, or just about anywhere you feel needs a feminine, floral touch.

Each rose pin is a one of a kind creation. They are each crocheted by me using my personal rose pattern. The rose in the picture is the rose you will be recieving.

If you are interested, this pin can be purchased at the market stand and in my Etsy shop.

New Pattern Available

I've been writing patterns for myself for years, but until recently I had never really written them down. I have dozens of original patterns locked up in my head. When I started to teach class at Uncommon Threads, I decided that it was time to start writing my patterns down.

Bouquet of Roses is a advanced beginner pattern. The hardest part of it is that the pattern requires lots of little pieces to be sewn together. Once finished this scarf is very impressive. I also like the versatility of this pattern. In the pattern I recommend Lambs Pride worsted yarn, but the flowers can be made with almost any yarn and in any color. The flowers can also be used as embellishments for all types of projects.

The pattern is currently available in PDF format in my etsy shop.

In the coming weeks I hope to have more patterns available.

Welcome to my Studio

Please come in. There is tea and coffee by the stove and scones on the counter. This is my studio. It may be a little cluttered and a little strange around here, but it's a creative place.
